THE RESORTS:

- Last year was a record setting season, bringing in the highest snow depths the area has ever seen.

-The Stone Creek photos are from a new area at Beaver Creek that is opening to the public this Winter. Stone Creek is a 180 acre expansion of extreme terrain, with steeps, chutes, trees, and cliff drops.

-The World Cup events at Beaver Creek are the only stop for the World Cup in the US. This draws the top alpine skiers in the world to BC from Nov. 28 - Dec. 3, to tackle the legendary Birds of Prey downhill course. Downhill, giant slalom, slalom, and a combined downhill/slalom event take place over these 6 days.

-This season, the main terrain park at Vail, Golden Peak Terrain Park, is being renamed to The Fly Zone.

-Every Wednesday night, Vail hosts free street concerts at Checkpoint Charlie, in the heart of Vail Village.
